REIKI LIFE PATH
Reiki is a way of life.
“All shall be well; and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well…for there is a force of love moving through the universe that holds us fast and will never let us go.” -Julian of Norwich

Reiki is a way of life… It never drains the practitioner, and it is always respectful of the client. It goes where it needs to go. Furthermore, it gives and gives without giving out. Wherever the body is in need, Reiki will attend to it. Reiki waits patiently to be invited in. That happens when an INTENTION is set either for oneself or for the client. When it comes its Energy flows peacefully, gently and simply.
Intentional awareness is a powerful understanding creating a focus for working within Reiki or prayer. When an intention is set, the request goes out into the Universe. The Universe sets in motion the people, places, and things to provide the response needed for the intention. It is important, when setting the intention that it be clearly stated and in agreement between the practitioner and the client.
For those who are trained in the art and science of Reiki, the gift of holding the Energy for another, moves through the practitioner first. Over time, as a person develops the skills and uses the Energy, it becomes part of the language, thinking, interests, and awareness within the practitioner. The joy of working with the Energy makes its way throughout the practitioner’s days, and Reiki becomes both the compassionate action of doing, and a softening for centering the soul.
Long time clients who come for Reiki treatments also begin to develop the awareness that Reiki influences the sense of direction they are living. When clients connect with the memory of a Reiki session, their focus on Reiki develops. It becomes a pathway for them and they look forward to strengthening their relationship with the Energy when they come for another treatment.
Reiki first moves through the one who gives the treatment. The intention is set with the client, and the focus of the treatment time is for the client’s highest good. As the gentleness of the Reiki flows through the practitioner’s hands, the beneficiary might see color in their mind’s eye, they might fade in and out of a sleep, they might cry from a release of built-up stressors or they might just “feel good” when the session is over. The Reiki continues to work as long as it is welcomed by the client.
When the practitioner deliberately sets out to learn Reiki, a reversal happens and the practice for others becomes a need to practice on oneself. The Usui Reiki practitioner begins the day with Gassho (praying hands) and committing the five principles to the “heart.” As the mantra is prayed each day, both morning and night, it begins to seep into the cracks and crevices of the mind and soul. As a result of the intention to commit to the Energy, the physical body responds to the Energy and becomes healthier.
We have one Path in this life. On this Life Path, many people, places, and things happen. Opening up to life’s possibilities becomes anchored within the practitioner. The Walk becomes clearer, and a sense of direction offers new ways of responding to the Energy within. There are those who have received Reiki training who love to develop the spiritual side of their walk. There are others who love to work in their treatment rooms bringing relief to those whose bodies hurt. And there are Reiki masters who love to do training. Love is the heartbeat of Reiki. Love is the intention the Reiki practitioner or client finds in the search for meaningfulness along their LIFE’s PATH.
